2012 US Presidential Election

REpublican soul-searching, like last time you mean, when they came up with eh answer of 'we need to be MORE conservative"? Pretty soon the GOP will be the fringe party, and the Libertarians will clean up.

So Zherok, you don't work for a copier company do you?

Anyway, you would prefer to abandon your allies because it was more politically correct, even though to achieve that level of political correctness, you  had to have your people forsake their own culture?

zherok:
It's been said before, they're running out of angry white guys to fuel the party. If they can't adapt, they have only themselves to blame.

And I don't know what kind of bullshit you want to imply with being politically correct. It's not about appeasement, it's about not allowing Israel to operate as if the US military were an extension of it's own. Defending Israel's right to exist doesn't preclude curbing their aggression. I see no reason to allow Israel to fully dictate the terms of the relationship.

But seriously, middle of the road? If it were contained to over-pandering to Israeli donors, it'd be one thing, but Romney seems hellbent on conjuring up some villain for him to fight. I'm not sure what country besides Israel he hasn't tried to provoke. We don't need a Don Quixote, tilting at Cold War era windmills, or picking yet another fight with a Middle Eastern country for dubious reasons.

so... apparently half of you guys from u.s. are a bunch of lazy asses.  ;D
i mean, i already knew romney is stupid, but i didn't know he was that stupid.   :D

p.s.: before someone starts "yelling" at me for no reason: of course this is not what I think of u.s. people.

Yeah, that's what I was alluding to when I said, "And every time Romney opens his mouth lately, something comes out that should have stayed there."  Sure, go ahead and insult half of the people you're trying to get to vote for you, half the people you expect to govern.  That's SURE to put an end to partisanship and divisive politics in the U.S.  Fucking politicians.

Jon Huntsman weighs in, now a few months removed from the running. I like what he has to say. Specifically:

--- Quote from: article ---"We're not expanding our demographics. We're not thinking in terms of big, bold, optimistic solutions for this nation, we're doing a little too much pandering. We're doing a little bit too much in the way of pledge signing," says Huntsman. "We've got to get back to the big, bold visionary stuff, where we're not going to pander, we're going to talk about trust deficit, just like we talk about our fiscal deficit."
--- End quote ---
