Okay so i'm new to torrent/anime downloading i used to buy all my anime until my friend suggested downloading and pointed me to BakaBT.
1. since my hard drive isn't very big (Being Macbook) can i download my anime onto my PHD (Portable hard drive) and seed from a external drive?
2. whats the best way to convert the MKV files into something to either play on a dvd cd or to transfer over to my xbox 360 and subs still working. if i have to i am also interested in re-implimenting the subs if anyone is willing to link me to some kind of step by step guide.
3. What torrent you suggest using, faster downloading i can't decide from Vuze or Utorrent keep in mind im using a macbook pro
4. How do i recover my seeding rate, i'll admit i downloaded and canceled but my reason was being my HD small i had no room.
5. How do i understand this seeding? I am lost in how to set my Utorrent Client to Seed a low limit, since i do not have such big download limit or at least a limit it does monthly.
I am sorry if this is the wrong thread since i do not want to post this into a non anime related forum.
Temuthril:
1. yes
3. Utorrent is more lightweight regarding system specs (or at least it was, don't know how bloated it is these days)

4. You're warned right now so you'll need to seed until your ratio is high enough to download again. http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/For_First_Timers#Fixing_Your_Ratio

I would personally not suggest this. Because of the way bittorrent works, this will put a lot of excess strain on the disk, thus shortening it's life.

As far as I know, xbox 360s can't render subs outside of DVD subs. Either convert the video into a playable DVD format (put it on a playable DVD disc) or hardcode the subs into a compatible video format that the xbox can play.

I think I'll disagree with this. I might be wrong since you are more experienced than I am.
Taking western digital external hard drives as an example they have Caviar Green Hard Drives in them which are used as internals as well. So essentially it is the same thing excluding the interface which can be either USB 2.0 or USB 3.0
So it depends on how fast you seed. If you seed faster than USB 2.0 transfer rates then you might be straining your hard drive. Would you explain to me how the BitTorrent works so I can see your viewpoint?
