Possibly silly question about multiaudio, but no other thread covered it (I thin

(1/1)

Arakura:
So basically I am new here, trying to get into the whole ratio thing by starting out with as many freeleech torrents as possible in order to establish a seeding basis for future downloads w/o screwing my ratio and I noticed that almost all of the downloads I was looking at had this thing called multiaudio, which in itself isnt that complicated I think... The video contains more than one audio (a dub and a sub, most of the time)

I was wondering how I am to use that, or am I mistaken about what it is (I read the topic about word definitions and it seems to confirm my beliefs). I dont see an  option to switch from one audio to the other, is there something I should be looking for?

Thanks :D

Duki3003:
Most decent players have a feature to switch between audio.
Just pick any recommended from these lists, depending on your OS:

Arakura, since you apparently have not already done so, I'd recommend acquiring either the K-Lite or CCCP codec pack (NOT both, multiple codec packs often cause conflicts!).  They not only come with nearly every codec you could envision (for both encoding and decoding), but both also come with MPC-HC (Media Player Classic - Home Cinema), one of the better players out there.  MPC-HC + ffdshow will play almost everything.

I recommend staying away from VLC Player, btw, which many people like, but is buggy as hell + has terrible scaling algorithms.
