-Urgent- Need answer and Acer VS Asus
kitamesume:
i'd suggest you just grab the most optimum spec'ed piece with a customizable battery(or high innate capacity) you can get then undervolt the unit, also the thing that contributes the most in battery life seems to be the screen brightness and HDD power consumption. of course don't forget reviews about their reliability, and how much you'd like it.
so if you'd undervolt the chipset, ram, cpu and gpu you'd be left with the power hungry harddrive and the screen, if you'd grab an SSD(samsung and crucial M4 tends to have less than 1watt) and tone down the brightness you can shave off a few more watts.
edit: as far as battery life goes whats the purpose of the laptop anyway? if you want pure battery life then a notebook with an undervolted N2600 paired with a low power SSD should have the longest battery life.
and as far as non-strenuous games goes an E2-1800 based netbook should be able to play games at 1366x768 resolution fairly, plus this could exhibit a really good battery life.
PS: this is targeting battery life as priority, theres also options of ULV i5's since thats your minimum.
edit2: also concerning intel HD4000, they're pretty good as is, able to tackle mainstream games at least. so whats the hate on intel IGP?

considering this, theres some ULV i5 that has a HD4000 which are i5-3427U and i5-3317U.

I currently have an Acer timelineX laptop with Nvidia Optimus and it is by far the best computer I have ever owned. Looks great, runs smooth and the battery life is usually around 6 hours of use.

Asus K53SV, but in my country, no price yet (not available yet, maybe) - i like this but with the battery like 3-2 hours only + the touchpad's sound...
AS5830T-6496, maybe one of those in the list... - i like the battery life up to 10 hours but when i saw a comment "built-in battery", is that mean the main battery or the (click to show/hide)CMOS? if so, it cant be removed like any other normal laptop...
i need fast reply...tomorrow is the day!!
EDIT : if the above acer laptop's battery cant be removed, what is other model that have the same spec as it (timelineX, nvidia atleast 1gb, core i5 atleast)
--- End quote ---
If you want battery life, I'd suggest you look at hardware that isn't over a year old. Also, stick with an i3-i5, the two added cores of an i7 double the idle wattage or go for a dual core i7.

"double the idle wattage" is a lie, its a flat out lie, under load then its a different story.

Yes, built-in battery is exactly what you [first] think it means: can't remove it.
