--- Quote from: story ---A guy calls a technician to fix his computer
the technician goes and presses 1 button and the computer works
the technician charges 1000 dlls, the guy is in an outrage! why 1000 dollars!? I demand a note with all the procedures,
(click to show/hide)Pressing the button ...... $1.00 dlls
knowing what button to press. . . .$999.00 dlls
total = $1000 dlls
and thats the story :)
--- End quote ---
I hope you understand the message of the story. . .
if you dont
(click to show/hide)apple charges so much for the time they spend creating that "ease-of-use", and people buy it because people dont want to spend that time making it "easy-to-use"
now again, this applies to that 99% of the world that isnt computer saavy
--- End quote ---
A past accounting teacher of mine used a similar story. The point was that services can be charged at amounts regardless of the actual work.

no because you just ignored the part about androids CAN be configured to be ease of use FOR CHEAPER.
so who's a dumbass to pay a grand for a moneyhog tech to setup his computer when theres another tech that does it for 90% less?

iphones already come configured. . .

so does some android? obviously 100-200$ smartphones have uber crippled features, that comes ease of use as a by product, jailbreak/root it and you'd get a more versatile phone.
theres also the option of developing your own android apps, the programs to do it are free and open for download.
so whats in iphone? a feature crippled phone for 300+$ that no other option other than to jailbreak it for more features, find me an iphone brandnew for 100-200$ 1ghz 256mb ram WITH uSD slot up to 64GB, now that would be a bargain. oh wait, if theres no such thing, theres some on android.
edit: simply put it is like linux(android, literally) vs windows/mac or both(iphone).
to shut this stupid argument, no your reasoning about ease of use is not a valid argument, to point out, all i see on iphone's price premium is for the sheer E-PEEN of it.

I watercool my PC. I made my own tabletop greenhouse. I grow orchids in semi-hydro. I drive a manual. I also have a 1:1 Kyuubey staring into my soul at all times. But I don't think people are stupid for using stock coolers, growing on windowsill, keeping orchids potted in sphagnum moss, being an automactic driver or having small Kyuubey figures.
The real stupid argument is that people that do not care about things you care about are automactically stupid and ignorant because they do not care about things you care about. There are countless hobbies in the world, society does not revolve around your faveourite gadget of the month, and that is good. It's a fucking phone. Go bomb Monsanto HQ or something.
