actually reminded me of some stupid shop that actually drops warranty for laptops that switched OS through manual reformatting, niiiicely thought of.

edit: i kinda stumbled upon this while looking through texas instrument's lists of products.

apparently dualcore cortex A15 can reach up to 4ghz, i wonder why i dont see them on phones =/ though possibly they don't support android yet, but its monstrosity at it's peak.

hmmm i doubt that, its still gonna be less than 10watts thats one, compared to something like an atom which is near that wattage its impressive.
4Ghz 10watts even if the actual IPC isn't as impressive as that of the core series, reaching 4Ghz alone on such low power package is impressive itself.

try imagining AMD's zacate clocked at 4Ghz, even if it hits a power envelope of 20watts its still highly desirable.

edit: i now see why the 4Ghz flavor isn't used, its still under development stages and not purchase-able as of now, but claims on the 2Ghz flavor being 3x faster than an cortex A9 while having less power consumption would indicate that the 4Ghz should not have any power consumption penalties.
the hint of this possiblity is the 28nm CMOS low-power process.
