iPhone 5 Is The Most Disappointing iPhone Ever?

<< < (7/41) > >>

FlyinPenguin:
Honestly, this time around the iPhone isn't doing anything new or exciting but rather just playing catch up with the mid-higher range Android phones which currently outshine the iPhone in both hardware and software features. It still won't even surpass the top tier Android phones e.g. GS3, One X, Note II, etc.

I haven't heard but is there still no microsd slot?

It's apple. Until they start making their own proprietary microSD cards, there will never be a slot for one.

I really thought they'd jump out the gate with this one - the first "new" iPhone since Steve Jobs died should have been a big "hey, it was more than just him" moment. It wasn't, though. I'm personally very disappointed in it.

That is such a big turn off for me. I'm still on the fence over the Nexus 7 because it doesn't have a slot.

Im going to rant a litttle:

Personally, overall I think the iPhone 5 is an amazing phone and I still prefer it over most other phones (if not all)
I was however, dissapointed as to the little "new" things they added.

But you must also take into account, the engineering behind the phone.

I mean look at, say the nokia lumia 920, it has pretty good looking specs, the Galaxy SIII, the note, HTC (whateveR), they have really good specs, but they are all forgetting something:
ITS A PORTABLE PHONE!

they are starting to advertise their screen size and "tricking" *(IMO)* the masses into thinking that bigger is better. . .
look at the trends for cellphones:
start with the big brick-looking ones and go down to the motorola V3 and so on. . .more features, less size, thats how technology should be advancing and smartphones are not doing that. . .

Apple has the iPad, so if you want something close to a computer get the iPad not a fucking 7" smartphone, but if you want a phone, get the fucking iPhone, its way better.

the iPhone 5 for example has (according to some site i saw, and using a simple calculator) around 57000 mm^3 volume, while the lumia 920 has around 95000 mm^3 volume . . .
and what does the lumia have over the iphone (hardware-wise)
NFC

i know it supposely has a ton of image processing power and stuff but I wouldnt consider that "more" hardware, and even if it was still, would that really ocupy around 40000 mm^3 of volume?

so, overall the ENGINEERING of the iPhone 5 is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY superior to any other phone, it is as it should be:
in other words,
in a features/volume ratio, the iPhone outshines every other phone (that I've seen)
a portable phone that fits in your pocket, that the weigh doesnt pull down your pants, and that it doesnt create a bulk on your pocket that seems like an odd square in your pants.
