Any ideas of a feature you are dying to see implemented by somebody? What else can they add?

Can handle cold temperatures, touchscreen works in minus degrees. Display doesn't crack from aluminium shrinking due to cold.

Until those features are added I see no reason to have a phone that I need to hide in my crotch to keep it warm.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

^or have the CPU's heatsink be the screen's base plate, which means the CPU heats the screen up, well at least it isn't sub zero Celsius

I suggest a poll for this thread.
iPhones don't excite me the way they used to earlier. iPhone 4 was the last innovative thing they did and it's successors have just been built upon it.

I am not sure if I am getting this right but my response would be.
No it's not because of Steve. Compare iPhone 4 with iPhone 3GS and you'll see there is actually a difference which makes it move innovative and better than it's predecessor.
If this had been because of Steve then iPhone 4S would have been my favorite because Steve as more or less involved in that one.

Sony are working on bringing their games store to the mobile.

Speaking of innovation, you seen the Lumia 920? It looks like it might be something of a dark horse that nobody saw coming in this one. If Metro pays off, they actually have been busy working on some nice features; a curved screen for better viewing angles, particularly in sunlight? Night-time photography? Augmented Reality? New tech in the screen that decreases the refresh speed so it doesn't blur when you move it? Not to mention that it's reputedly built like the old school nokia phones...

I believe lumia 920 is a windows phone like lumia 800 was.
I have seen lumia 800 interface and it was truly unimpressive. I'll have a look at it later on.
I currently have an iPhone 4 and I am not gonna change it for another 2 years atleast. It's an year old already.

^or have the CPU's heatsink be the screen's base plate, which means the CPU heats the screen up, well at least it isn't sub zero Celsius

... That would make it worse. In the situation described, the screen cracks because it does not shrink as much as the aluminum does. Heating up the screen would make it expand, which would further accelerate the cracking.

You mean increases the refresh speed. But man I can't wait to actually hold it in my hands. I found the lack of a microSD slot and the fewer color choices compared to the 820 to be a bit of a turn-off though.

I'm also particularly interested in Nokia City View. That's the coolest thing I've seen so far. Wireless charging is a neat feature too.

As for build, I don't think I've seen any Nokia phone that was fragile. In the smartphone line I've handled the N8 and the X7. Both feel pretty damn solid. In the semi-smartphone line, I've handled the C6-00. It was alright, didn't feel quite as solid but would probably still break the ground. In the regular phone line I've handled the 5300, 5310, 5130, 6301, and one other model that escapes me atm. All of them except the 5300 felt totally solid. The 5300 I'm not too sure about, since I managed to damage the screen within the first month.

The 920 and 820 are built for Windows Phone 8, yes. The old Lumias used Windows Phone 7, which was largely unpopular for some reason. Since Windows 8 has a new interface that works best for tablets and smartphones, I'm pretty eager to see it in action.

It was unpopular because it was horrible and unimpressive. Nothing special about it. If Lumia 920 uses the new software then maybe it will be okay although i haven't seen the new one.

Not quite. The phone refreshes at 60fps as other phones do, but in motion the pixel response rate doesn't quite keep up creating motion blur. They've overcharged the pixels so that this response time is a lot lower. I was reading their explanation of it here, or if you're too lazy to read they did a mildly condescending minute long video on it here.

Agreed on the colour and lack of MicroSD slot, and I have no idea whether I'll actually like W8 or think it sucks monkey nuts but they've certainly done enough for me to be very intrigued about it when it comes out. That camera looks pretty incredible, and apparently they've tried to keep the 'our phones are indestructible' ethos, which would be handy for a klutz like me :P

what is so impressive on iphone ?
Umm now how should i answer this one.
I agree both iPhone 4S and 5 suck.
But try remembering when iPhone 4 was launched 2 years back. It was certainly revolutionary and innovative at that time. Better than most of the phone in all respects. Be it the touchscreen, interface or the it's looks.

It's probably a phone for people who have iPhone 3 or older, but not for those who have iPhone 4. Is that not a reasonable conclusion?
