iPhone 5 Is The Most Disappointing iPhone Ever?

Siri is a great innovation, it's also brilliant, but it's execution was poor, look at Samsung they have S voice, it's a pisstake really how much samsung copy Apple. The future in technology is voice activation, but in these times it's technology is in a childlike state.

Maybe playing it safe is the best option, even I sometimes think they are digging their own coffin, and even that they won't be able to do anything different without Steve jobs. But yes your right in that they will sell phones for awhile, but they can't live off their name forever, others want to make their name.

Yes I liked Nokia, they dominated without being as brainwashing, cult like and arrogant like Apple.

Yes the NFC is a big fail. It would simply money transactions in seconds, something Apple are motivated by.

Microsoft need to fix up. And Nokias plan B was to get Andriod on board, but it might be too late.

AceHigh:
I don't see how it can be "too late" for a company such as Nokia. 3/4 of global phone userbase are "dumbphones" and Nokia makes money from that market. It's not like they will never sell phones again because of some mistakes.

Hell, Apple entered phone market really late, but they made profit, so your logic is still as stupid as ever.

Siri is quite nice for showing it off once, but it need to become more useful like google now is. The future might be in voice recognition, but there are times where you can't speak, so more ways of interacting are necessary.

History is telling us otherwise, apple already failed once, because they played it safe. Apple are still able to move forward without Steve Jobs, they just need someone who can help them focus on the real stuff again.

Not only that, sharing things will also become so much easier, when you can share it the same way, as you would do with physicals objects. This is also one of the reason why I'm surprised, that the new iPhone don't have NFC, apple have been good at following the "guided fantasy" in their software department.

You never actually touched a WP7 device, have you? IMO, the interface is way better than the iOS interface (especially the app list and the home screen), and even though it has it's quirks (most real problems where solved with the Mango and Tango updates though) and limitations (no FLAC support? are you fucking kidding me?), it's got a pretty decent overall user experience...
If Microsofts overall reputation was better, the old windows mobile wouldn't have been as horrible as it actually was and the ones doing the WP7 in general and Lumia in specific presentations would've had Steve Jobs' charisma, WP7 would have been a much greater deal.

And I must say, WP8 and especially the Lumia 920 got me pretty excited, despite the lack of choice in color (I'd like a black one, please) and the fact that it's always going to be worse than anticipated, and in most cases even more so with Microsoft products.
