Fuuuuuuu, after watching the first episode of this I marathoned all that was out just for the Sorceress and what did i get? 1 fucking scene! Gawd damn it! Someone thats read the manga or whatever please tell me that she had a decent part to play in the storyline.

On a side note, this is actually pretty good even with the lack of awesome dandere sorceress screentime. That latest episode was epic.
I'll get round to it someday. SOMEDAY ffs

Isnt Maou the sorceress, unless ur talking about the Stoic Loli witch... well in the translated manga too just recently made her appearance much later than the anime

Well the version I'm reading is the official manga adaptation of the light novel. There are 4 other versions I think, but I wont read them yet to avoid the confusion lol

Well, if S&W lasted as long as it did, perhaps this will last long enough for us to be able to get to that point in the manga. Looks very interesting.

Yay it's back! Oh my, what a tangled mess we've gotten into. Is hero going to have to go pluck Maoh so she can save everyone? Cool, that they need HER so much, eh?

I just love how the Young Merchant have a evil grin when He realize that Hero is in charge, I bet his plan to make loads of money would not be set in motion if Maou was there.

Moron Hero in charge ? Set plan to conquer the world in motion.

No, she's most common in that manga.

She seems to be more playful in the manga, in the Anime she is portrayed as sad/sob/depressed, or in episode 10 they had her for 5 seconds in some sort of whimsical way to help the dragon princess.

I feel that if this show is to gain its proper epic status we will be seeing a lot more of this sorceress in season two.

BUt I really don't understand all the wheels within wheels that dragon princess brings to the human world. I'm wondering if she has thought things through even somewhat, or what she has been thinking. But I cannot understand how she thinks that by going to the merchant she will gain a hero for her own...

The High Dragon Princess is the most realistic female character in Anime in a long time, in every other Harem Anime the girls stick with the jerk not matter how little attention He gives them, the Dragon Princess is simply looking for an Hero that care about Her. At least she is breaking the Harem trope at hand.

Now Yusha is partly at fault for interesting the merchant into Gate City, so it makes all sorts of sense that the Young Merchant will marry the Dragon Princess, but would make too much historic sense.

Why does she thinks that she will get an Hero ? ... Because PLOT!!!!!!
The Young Merchant is not the type of guy the Dragon Princess like, since she loved Hero, it would have made some sense to see her find her taste for the less strong merchant, but no we needed to know that Maou is a creepy girl that was thinking about having sex with Hero since he was a little Baby because of "Destiny"

Every time a story has "destiny" or "profecy" are BS, because it allows the writers infinite asspull at will.

I really love this show, lots of original stuff. While watching the first episode i was afraid of wasting my time on another SAO style anime, but i was totally mistaking. Also, is it me or people easily get the wrong idea about it? I think episode 1-2 can be a bit confusing about what MMY really is.

Holo is way more attractive though.
Maou is the mature version of Holo, besides boobs size, even if they both have the same age. She has that reassuring mother side.

ps: catchy opening, so good, i like it !
My list - Truth is a double-edged sword, with no handle.

SAO and MMY have the same problem : They take themselves too seriously and then act dumb.

MMY is good but sometimes it become very silly, which irritates me because it started as the "Anime that would destroy all the anime tropes" but without being a parody.

But it many times fall in tropes, weird execution or sometimes just plain boring. I like episode 11 because it had less of Yusha and more of the interesting secondary characters like the Dragon Princess and Young Merchant couple.

Now I won't deny that Maou ficting the Head maid was awesome, I loved every seconds of it, but for episode 12 I am going to get bored with Yusha and his Gerbil IQ.

The famous female Witch finally arrived and she is an interesting character, I would have loved more of her from the beginning of the show and less of Yusha.

That's interesting ... because i totally agree with you on SAO being too serious and ending dumb but i don't see why/how you compare it to MMY. MMY does contain "serious" stuff, i mean geopolitical stuff, and MMY is not going dumb as far as i've watched (i did not yet see ep11), i mean it's not about "papa! mama!" and crying all day long.

Btw what does "tropes" mean ???

Btw what does "tropes" mean ???

Tropes are story-telling common places, things that generally happen, for example when Yusha meet Maou the common trope would be for him to face the big bad Demon King and save the world. But MMY subvert the trope by having Maou being a hot girl and asking Yusha for saving the world in a non-fairy tell way through geopolitics and economics.

There are so many things in story telling that are common no matter the media or genre, they are generally called trope, try having a look at the SOA page on TV tropes, to have more example of tropes, they have a database of a lot of shows : http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/LightNovel/SwordArtOnline ;)

As Maou Yusha sometimes being dumb, here are a few things that I bother me :

- Maou BOOBS : yes it was funny in the first episodes to see Yusha blush with those massive mamba jambas being shoved in his face, but it becomes boring after that. It would have been so much funny if it was just a trick of Maou to get Yusha attention, Humans like boobs so me make big boobs, and that she could "deflate" chest size later when she got his trust.

- The Harem : There is no reason for the Harem, there is no reason for Maou and Yusha to have a "love story", would have been much better if it was just about business and the love would grow bigger with them.  But instead we got the most tiring Anime trope ever with a massive Harem. The only redeeming factor is that Dragon Princess was tired of not receiving attention and she is now made the Young Merchant her new Hero.

- The Plot: I love the geopolitics, economics and scheming, but many times the resolution is completly silly for example when the Humans were holding Gate City instead of Yusha going Beowulf on their asses with got flurry fairies and 10 000 veteran crusaders of a war against demons running away from a headless knight that killed NOBODY, this is impossible. MMY tries to be very serious, but this was a very cheesy way of going about it, isn't Yusha ever going to spill a single drop of blood to create the better world Maou talks about ?

There are some other smaller things, but these are my 3 biggest problems with the show, I like it but it is not one my favorites.  :-\

Mmm i see what you mean, those kind of things do not really bother me, i mean those are big boobs, but not that big harem ;D

Thanks for the "trope" explanation.

Don't get me wrong I like Big Boobs too ... I just wanted our Maou to be more innovative by having : Variable size boobs.

She has the power of Magic, how sexy would have it be for : "Yusha what is about that Nun ... do you like flat chest *boob size magically reduced to DFC* ... is it better now ?"
