Can anyone tell me why they won't seed and is there any list of torrents that requires seeding?
I was unaware of the upload thing needed on this site until I found a seed ratio for site account ... o_O

So... Before it's too late, I'd like to seed some. ^_^.

There are many more seeders than leechers on the torrents you have downloaded, and you are competing with all of them.

As you miraculously haven't been warned yet, I suggest sticking to freeleech and seeding until you reach a ratio where you won't risk being warned.

If you (most likely) haven't, read the Wiki for information about what is freeleech.

My ratio is 0.122 atm ...

Anyways, is there a list of torrents that has not much of competitors so I can seed a bit to raise my ratio up?

Also, I've a question not related to original topic ... Is there some sort of ranked list of torrents here in bakabt? Like most downloaded torrent etc.
Looking for animes similar to Seitokai Yukuindomo / new genres to explore

See, I'm having the same dilemma but the solution seems like a catch 22: all the stuff I download has high seeds because they download faster, but then when I go to seed, there's still a lot of seeders so I don't up my ratio.  Am I just going to have to spend 2 days downloading low seed anime so that when I seed I can actually get it to seed to other people?

You've been a member for a day. Please be patient, as there are 22 times more seeders than leechers on BBT and therefore takes much longer to seed the same amount as you leech.

...and as I said, stick to freeleech at first.

It takes a lot to get there. You basically have to spend the first week downloading a ton of stuff (since you are not limited in your downloading until a week in, IIRC) and then seed absolutely none of it back.

In other words, you have to be a complete asshole. Which I'm sure you aren't.

Anyway, focusing on low seeder stuff isn't a bad idea, but if it's unpopular stuff that no one leeches, you'll end up with the same problem. The key is the seeder to leecher ratio, not just seeder count.

And be prepared to seed stuff forever. I've been seeding some of my torrents for more than two years (and that's not regular time, that's active time, i.e. the amount of time BBT has seen me actively seeding). Some are approaching three years.

That's true, I'm still seeding the first torrent I downloaded remember downloading (Suzumiya Haruhi) :]

Its definitely possible to get back to even a 0.50 ratio. Just three weeks ago I was warned for having downloaded 30+GB with practically 0 GB uploaded. A week later I got my ratio back to 0.50, and now I'm at 2.7ish. What I did was just look for good torrents to seed on bakabt, and afterwards google every single one of them in order to download them off another website. Thus when they completed, I could seed to bakabt using their tracker but still count as zero data downloaded on bakabt. It took me nearly five hours of work and more to find good torrents that actually had the same files on both bakabt and another website, but the work was definitely worth it as you can see from my trackers page.
