Well, in the UK at least, rooting refers to gaining root access on the phone, whereas unlocking refers to removing sim card restrictions so that the phone can be used on any network. And there's no European law requiring that either of these be the case when the phone is shipped.

europe is not UK you know.

I am surprised to know that you don't have such law, since we do have it .
and all phones sold before it to the costumers had to be returned to the stores and be unlocked.

in europe on most networks the phones shipped unlocked due to government law.
so we don't need to unlocked phones nay more :P..

look if to be honest.
my native language is not English thats why in my language we don't use ROOT as a name since people who don't know English or
computer still will be able to understand what it is we simply call it UNLOCKING.

as well for OverClocking we say make CPU "faster"  "forward"

you are right that in English Unlocking and ROOT may say some thing different .
still it does not change anything..

people still pay money to get their phone to be rooted as well as apple pay money for JailBrake iphone.

Er, sorry, last I checked the UK is, in fact, part of Europe. And what you call it in your native language is irrelevant - we're talking about what it's called in English. We don't really care what it's called in some random other language, as it has no relation whatsoever to what the correct term is in English.

Now, shall we stop this nonsense and get back on topic? My personal preference would be for the Galaxy Note, but that's more because my preference is for Android over iOS, than because I know much about the hardware of the phones themselves.

iPhone 5

GN2 will be running on Exynos, which is IMO a great mobile CPU, but most Exynos-based phones have a bunch of problems that occur after you root (incl. signal reception, bad compatbility with CM-based roms).

I might not root, iphone also get's laggy when you jailbreak it.

Question: does you current cell phone works? If yes then why bother buying another one?

I just like my new gadgets, some people like going to brothels? You've asked this question before.

(Are you always trying to troll me? xDD)

So not SIII?

I've had it, as I've mentioned in my OP, I was having issues with it.

If you don't root your android then buy an iPhone.

if you want real answer to your logic 'less' question here it is.

samsung is running on quad core cpu-  there is no programs on the market which use 4 core cpu now , only 1% of progrems using dual core
the cpu over heat fast- from 60c and up- it even hard to hold in the hand from the heat.
the cpu drains the battery like no one else. 2 hours of gaming or video and your battery is dead.

iphone is running on dual core cpu (same as iphone 4s, they didn't changed it)
but the phone is new so there are many problems with it. i'll wait for iPhone 5 s .

Wow I didn't know they are using the same Cpu for the iphone 5, it's a bit surprising, and the note 2 will be faster then the GS3

well i don't care how you call it since i call it  unlocking and every shop i was it said the same to me .

Are you smoking crack? Do you know how much it costs to unlock some of these Nokia phones? up to £40, just to use a "dumbphone" on a different network, and yes if my phone was rooted I would still need to unlock it if I wanted to take it abroad or use it on another network. All phones should come unlocked. And there is a massive difference between rooting and unlocking. Even the same applies with jailbreaking, Jailbreaking was different when it first come out.

GN2, is by far a superior phone. Hardware, screen, speed, etc.
Plus it's Android so it's not the closed shitty iOS that you can do nothing with.

The iPhone 5 is nothing more than a slightly thinner 4S with true 4G.
