Tiffanys:
I've already seen those things. What the hell's up with people trying to fight me about the type of phone or features I'd prefer?
You asked what we used and what we like best... I didn't realize this thread was "conform to kitamesume's phone preferences or get lost."
If you don't like phones with QWERTY keypads then don't use one. It doesn't mean you have to nerdrage at someone who prefers something else... sheesh. How immature. >_>
kitamesume:
uh no, all i'm offended about is the claim of 95% of smartphones is an "iclone", so yeah.
Tiffanys:
It's a specific type of cellphone design, which conforms to this:
If it falls within that category, you can call it whatever the hell you want, but it doesn't negate that.
Just google "smartphones 2012"
So uh... well then. ::)
kitamesume:
well now, if thats what you'd think then would you justify what people says about those new mangas thats 90% similar to naruto, bleach and onepiece as being their ripoffs?
eitherway, nope they're just adapting a "standard", it doesn't mean they're ripping off a design, its because that design itself is whats the most space efficient.
you don't regularly use the keypad on most applications other than what you've mentioned, yet what would be the use of a built-in keypad occupying 50-70% of the front area's space then?
watching videos for one doesn't need a keypad but a large screen is better, majority of the android games prefers larger screens.
don't get me wrong though, designs that has a sliding/hinge keyboard does have it's plus, but they lose the area where they can fit a good sized battery or else the handset gets too thick.

LG prada was out before the iphone with that design, heck having camera on the front is something the iphone got a lot later than the competition. The iphone doesn't even have a logo on the front as your picture, and your picture doesn't even look like an iphone, especially not the first generation. As someone who have been studding production development, reading your comment about every smartphone being a iphone clone makes me want to shoot myself :(
Just admit than you are wrong about calling 95% of smartphone for iClone, however you are right in it being hard to use captive screen with long nails, also one of the reason why the galaxy note sold so well(stylus).
My phone galaxy nexus.
My 5 most used apps:
* gReader
* Foobar2000 controller pro
* google drive
* Swiftkey
* Evernote.
