(click to show/hide) The mask represents the blockage inside Saki's mind. When she remembers Shun's name, the blockage has been removed. I don't think Shun is "there" physically, perhaps he's a spirit now? Also the "fiend" isn't really a fiend at all, it's just a child with no "death feedback" who's be raised by a homicidal maniac... he's been trained from birth to obey Squealer, back when he was helpless and had no powers, eh?

(click to show/hide)I think Saki used her Cantus to burn it all up completely before it hit Satoru, or the 'fiend'. Since she thought it would kill Satoru too, and she didn't want to lose him.

As for what the last bit was about, I think we're going to have to wait until next episode to figure that out. Though I really cannot wait a whole week for it, I'm absolutely loving this show.

The "psychobuster" isn't just ordinary anthrax, it's like a living creature! Eek!
At the end Saki is talking about contacting the child somehow and bringing him over to the "human side". How will she do that? I have no idea! I hope she knows how to speak Queerrat. Anyhow, Kiroumaru could translate for them. Squealer (Yakomaru) has been a BAD RAT! lolz!
Spoiler guess for next episode:

(click to show/hide)18:00 When she opens the safe, there's an envelope... what is the message? AAAA! I'm dying to know what note was left with the Psychobuster! I hope Saki pocketed it... but I don't think she did.
Loving this show! It just keeps getting better.

(click to show/hide)A theory I been considering for a while is that the death feedback is not really specifically linked to killing humans but to killing your own kind. With the "fiend" considering itself a queerrat it wouldn't have any problems killing humans. There are one thing that contradicts this theory and that's the fact that it killed Kiromarus army, but it's possible that for queerrats their own kind is not really all queerrats but only their own colony.
