I was afraid all along that they'll kill Satoru as well and my OTP wouldn't come true D:
But I guess I liked this kind of an ending. Something bright at the very end.

Anime overall was awesome. Something you don't see often these days. Deserves 5/5 rating.

Excellent! Every part of it was excellent! Even the ending was terrific.

Spoiler Observations:
(click to show/hide)#1 They finally got the child's gender right! I knew all along it was a girl. #2 The "death feedback" really was hard-wired into their DNA, I thought it was partly brainwashed in, I was wrong! #3 Too bad Squealer, you're NOT human at all. #4 My theory on what happened to the "other" humans (who had no cantus) was wrong too. Ah well! It was a lovely theory while it lasted :)
It's now my 3rd favorite anime series! (Nuku Nuku = #1 Bakemonogatari = #2)

It gets the "5Cats Stamp of Approval"!  >^..^<

Yeah, I agree. It was a really great anime, but personally I really found the ending to be lacking. I really hope there'll be another season continuing on the story, because it feels like it left loads of questions unanswered. That queerrat revelation being one of the biggest.

All in all, I'd say 8/10. I really loved the unique and interesting world, it had a lot of depth to it, and discovering how everything worked was very fun. The story was really good too, especially with the dark twist it took about halfway through. The animation was pretty shoddy though, and the ending could perhaps have been better. But it was a great show nonetheless.

Looks like I was right about Death Feedback but it still leaves the question of who killed Kiromarus army.
Anyway great series.

How intense does the Yaoi get in this show? I'm fine with it if it's subtly portrayed, but if they show them making out with tongues and shit I don't think Ill enjoy it so much.
