Anime created so many stereotypes, that it practically drilled into our head that being loud is synonymous with being stupid. This anime crushes even that cliché.

You seriously haven't read enough 'edgy' shoujo stuff.  Otherwise perfect, borderline sociopathic male leads are par for the course.  There just aren't many of them that get animated.

+1 xD      ....me and my shoujo manga >_>
Haru isn't really sociopathic.  I assume you're talking about the "demon king" archetype male shoujo lead (perfect seeming guy who actually is a sadist).

Don't get me wrong, Haru still follows an archetype that appears in shoujo manga (ditzy, misunderstood/weird genius male lead), but that archetype usually is usually paired up against a very different type of female lead.

Ah, also;

100 bucks says the anime ends on chapter 24.   ;)

I used borderline sociopath because I'm not sure of the exact term.  He very clearly falls into at least one category of antisocial personality disorder.  I'm just incredibly annoyed by the 'inexplicably,  nearly perfect girl/boy who just needs someone level headed with a leash' type shows at both ends of the spectrum.

I had a few good lols from the new episode. And it is bugging me that I can't remember where I heard "No Future" before in an anime. All I remember is this weird voice says it, and I think he then hits some other guy. Here it was something I read, not heard, but the placement was priceless!

This show is a conundrum, two steps forward, one step back. But it seems plausible for teenagers to me.

The dude is sociopathic, in that he has no clue what he says or does, how it makes others feel. From the few psychology classes I took, I'd guess he is stuck emotionally somewhere around age 6. But he is growing up fast, eh? I'd say it's not a matter that he doesn't care, he cares for the rooster. But he doesn't know what people are like, so he doesn't know how to care for people. And I am guessing no one has cared for him, as he is amazed by fried rice.

Got to love his "and not a single fuck was given" attitude.  ;D
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

I'm really enjoying this show. The art, in particular, is lovely. The expressions she's constantly pulling are priceless.

Yeah, it was kind of disappointing that it turned in that direction. Oh well, the epic wins make more than up for it.

Quite the sweet thingy. It's not the ordinary type of romance you can usually find.
This show is unique in its own way and I love that =3

Agreed with GoGeTa. This might end up in a love-triangle ┐( ゚ー゚)┌

But could there be another love triangle? What about the girl whom Haru stood up for? Might she be all grateful?

For a comedy, this show has some deep stuff lurking in it.

This shit is so kawaii.

Meh I think you're just over analyzing it. Doesn't really seem to be anything too deep or complicated right now to me. The whole brother problem seems blown out of proportion. Guess we'll see how deep it really gets.

I'd agree with this, it doesn't seem particularly deep, or meaningful to me either. But it's definitely well told, it's very sweet, and the art is wonderful, so it doesn't need to be. :)

^ she is played by Tomatsu Haruka who also did, for example, Nagi in Kannagi, Misao in Asura Cryin' and Lala in To LOVE-Ru.
http://myanimelist.net/people/890/Haruka_Tomatsu
for more roles she has done, good VA.
(also does Asuna in SAO)

And I don't think the love triangle is as likely, but I do think that big bro is going to interfere.

It has been a while since an new anime really caught my attention, but this one has succeeded.
I know its still only just starting but I get the feeling it won't let me down. Time will tell, but for now I can at least say this season is not a total wash for me (actually, the kamisama w/e I forget the name off hand where the girl becomes a deity or whatever, is decent thus far, too)

Gonna be staying tuned to this one. Just hoping it doesnt end up with one or more of what I consider fatal flaws in this genre. Can only sit and wait, for now.

unrelated- spell check thinks kamisama should be "salamis". Nice.
