I'm not sure why the first one locked but the problem keeps coming and going. So, I'm back to my original question. What could the cause be and how to fix it. Could it be my router? My ISP?
Mac os 10.8, utorrent 1.6.5

You made a poor effort of explaining your issue, and you're previous topic was closed because you a) double posted and b) said your issue resolved itself.
This seems to be a mac related issue, I myself am not a mac user so it's highly unlikely I'll be able to help.

When you get this error, make sure you can actually access the drive where the torrent is targeted. I experienced this error when I had a bad SATA cable on one HD, which would intermittently lose connection.
You may hear the "device disconnected" tone if/when this happens, even though you haven't unplugged anything.

To be fair I only double posted because I couldn't add more to the previous post but I'm sorry for how I've handled this. Original post was this:
--- Quote ---I keep getting this error with the bakabt tracker. I'm running utorrent 1.6.5 (current version) on a mac Moutan Lion (up to date as well) From what I can think of, this has only started happening recently and I can't think of any change that could have caused it. Any ideas?
Some more info is I'm behind a router and utorrent isn't blocked by any firewall.

Thank you for your suggestion, I tried changing the download location to my built in HD (It's a macbook pro) but it still doesn't work. I'm exploring different options like using transmission instead of utorrent.
