Been waiting for a topic on this series!

This had one of the best opening episodes I've seen in a long time. I have high expectations for this series.

I agree. This grabbed my attention, then confused me, then turned me right 'round, and then left me wanting next week's episode, right now!

From what I read about this show, it's inspired by Shakespeare's Hamlet, possibly even a sort of anime take on it.

Interesting first episode. Confusing, but not boring, just the way I like it.

This hits the right notes for me somehow, I'm just hoping the brown-haired main character will not end up being a pussy bitch lol. Although I'm feeling this will be enjoyable throughout the whole thing.

- Added characters' names and pictures on OP, since I found some nice ones for each.

Was I imagining that Mahiros sister who they said was dead was the same girlwho Yoshino had a picture of on his phone(saying it was his girlfriend)? The story Seems intriguing to me so far.

It was clarified at the end. Though I doubt he has one currently.

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

He seems even more hung up than Mahiro, just better at pretending.

Alright. After episode two, this is my pick for best series of the season. I'm probably getting my hopes up too high, but, so far it's been flawless.

i've only seen the first episode, but i think they are the same girl, and it seems like (the spoiler is just speculation but possibly plot ruining if its right)

Yep. Episode 3 just confirmed that this is my favorite series of the season (though R;N and Psycho-Pass aren't too far behind). Intriguing storyline, great characters, awesome action AND magic makes for a brilliant series!

I'll watch this whenever I need copious amounts of cheese in my life.

At least the animation's fine...

Cute, huh?

I guess it would just waste valuable time, or ratings if the boys would get the girl off the island. I would think they would be wanting her around more than they do, or are they just sexist that way?

Lol... especially considering that entire area's civilization just got wiped out, so they would have absolutely no trouble just commandeering a boat and unlimited gas and supplies to go out into sea until they find her... and there's GPS coverage everywhere anyway.

Anyway, in this episode we (more than ever) continue to see every other character lavishly praising the main character's <insert trait here> in what is supposed to be an aside commentary. It's a pity it's done so many times throughout the episodes that you start noticing it whether you want to or not. I see they decided to move some of the cheese aside to make room for the "MAIN CHARACTER IS SUPER SPECIAL" phrases instead. They also spend the entire episode fighting one guy that she told them to run from, only to end up running from him anyway. If this was LoL or DoTA, his teammates would be raging.

On a side note, I want to see how that girl on the island got captured. I mean I hope they have a really good, thorough explanation for it... because she's supposedly ungodly powerful from the way everyone's making her out to be. Oh wait, maybe everyone in the series over-exaggerates everything anyway, like they're doing with the main character's good traits.

Well, I do suppose that now that

That's all they're blowing up. All they have to do is get out into the ocean... and the chances of em getting caught by helicopters is pretty damn low.

Cute, huh?
