PS vita post v1.80 firmware multi-region DLC

So after the last firmware update, sony has made it so that changing your vita's PSN region requires a memory card reformat. This is all fine and dandy except for those of us who have games from different regions. Does anyone know if it is possible to download vita DLC for whatever region on a ps3 and then transfer it to the vita?
