low end eyefinity to 1 good 27" suggestions
Slysoft:
21.5" is the perfect monitor size imo.
failboat:
22-24" for playing games on, 27" for work.
Ultrasharps are great monitors, but not for playing games on.
It's this dilemma of either getting an IPS for really pretty colors, or sticking with an LCD (LED backlit if you want a bit more eyecandy) panel to have games run smooth on it.
kitamesume:
if you've read the review, they did some tests if games could run on it, yes they could at least way better than the average, that places them in above average.
but compared to dedicated gaming monitors... well you can just imagine.
failboat:
Just about any monitor will work for playing games on, but that doesn't necessarily make it better for games than a monitor designated for such a purpose.
I've not only read about the ultrasharps, I've also been using an U2410 nearly daily, and I can with ease say that it's a great monitor for what it is, but if you're interested in something to play games on then there are far better choices.
Regardless, 24" is as far as I can go if I want to have a comfortable desktop workspace, as for games I'd stick at that and maybe even go two inches lower.
It's nice and all to have a big IPS monitor, but only for certain purposes.

The new PLS monitors seem to approach TN in terms of response and exceed E-IPS in terms of quality.
LED edgelighting is more for reducing energy use and footprint than for quality. There tends to be more edge and corner bleed than with CCFL. True LED grid backlighting is only present in extremely high end TVs, and I don't know of any computer monitors which use it.
