Iron Man: Rise of Technovore

It looks hand-drawn instead of the CG in the show. Nick Fury, Hawkeye and Black Widow are in it. The Punisher and War Machine too. Those characters make this look kind of promising. The character design for Tony is also different this time around. Not sure what triggered the revamp.

It's just an OVA or Direct-to-Video like the rest of the world know it.

Story is by Brandon Auman with The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Iron Man: Armored Adventures on his CV. I hear TA:EMH getting a lot of critical aclaim over at IGN so I'm counting on it being a good story. The rest of the production team seems to be Japanese.

It's probably just to create awareness around the new Iron Man movie next year, but nevertheless, I hope it's good.

They're making another Iron Man? When will Hollywood stop rehashing the same stuff and make something original?

I never even cared for the first Iron Man. In all honesty though, I find the super hero genre to be incredibly lame and boring. I know I am in the minority on this...

I haven't watched any of these Marvel Comics inspired anime yet. Are any of them any good? I mean, really good, not passable.

I don't see the problem at all. They've only been making Iron Man movies for what, 5 years? In fact, I don't think they make enough superhero movies around certain characters. Look at Christopher Nolan's Batman: Ra's al Ghul, Scarecrow, Joker, Two-Face, Bane and that's scratching the surface. Iron Man definitely need to have its third movie against The Mandarin before even considering not doing anymore. And with Avengers 2 and possibly a third Avengers movie they could do a forth one since the Iron Man movies are so successful. Although I generally feel a trilogy is enough for a movie franchise. There's just something icky about the number, 4.

My personal favourite is X-Men. If there's any of them that you'd have a chance of liking it's probably that one. Wait for the BluRay, however, I should be offering that soon.

I agree. I don't know what started it (I think it might have been iron man or the dark knight) but it seems like every movie coming out is just some remake of a super hero movie only where they are portrayed to be some dark badass.

Well, I am with you on this. But I enjoyed the Iron man movie though. Especially the Iron Man suit. The sheer design and complexity of the suit made me watch it. (Well, I am an Engg, so......)

If you leave that out, all super-hero movies are kinda lame IMO. I do have my reserve's for Batman trilogy. That one had nice story and all three movies done to almost perfection.

And yeah using this super-hero thingy again and again is just........oh well you guys know the rest. And I am going off topic so I better stop now.

Well, it's definitely worth seeing. The animation is much better, and I like these charatcer designs much more. Also, Pepper's in it! ;)

The story actually isn't half-bad. I think the villain could have used some more work. That and his suit just doesn't seem to belong in the Iron Man universe. Reminds me way too much of some freaky Japanese anime suit. Also, there's definitely an Avengers-feeling to this.

Oh, and Daryl voices the Punisher? If that doesn't make this worth seeing...

Bleh it's probably just another fancy induced trailer to drag people into the show, then they'll switch it up with more CGI. I'm not impressed.
Did you know Satan was supposedly gods RIGHT HAND MAN, not his left. Blows your theory out of the water now doesn't it.

Just saw Iron Man 3 movie. I would say it was OK. Of course, the suits were nice, but well I expected more. Oh well, guess i will have to wait for Avengers 2 to see more of those suits. Have to see how this anime holds up to the movie.
