Some pointers about seeding?

The bar turning red sounds like you're doing something wrong, is there any error message with it? In particular, have you moved the downloaded files? If you have then your torrent client won't be able to locate them to seed to other users.

As for general seeding tips, grab a seedbox - It's possible to find cheap ones that'll do the trick - and jump on new torrents. Being a semi-private site means that all torrents get a lot of hits, especially since non-registered users can't really search, but can see the newest uploads. If you've at least got a decent download speed, to be able to get the full torrent quickly, you'd be able to do this without a seedbox, you'll just not see as much uploading due to your seed restrictions.
