Hey, I was browsing around for torrents yesterday when I realized I had a terrible seed ratio. (Most of that was from a month ago when I started torrenting, and I hadn't realized that I somehow accidentally turned off seeding on my client)
I'm actually very, very surprised I hadn't gotten warned (I had a 0.010 ratio...), but I'm determined to fix my ratio. I've raised it to 0.024 now, but I can't seem to figure out how the bonus point system works. I did a bunch of searching for all kinds of freeleech + bonus point torrents, and started uploading them, but it continuously says I'm earning 0 bonus points per hour.
I'm confused as to how the bonus points work; what am I doing wrong?

Impressive, I think you're the second person I've ever seen quote that phrase. The first was a couple years ago or so.
Anyway, it's as xgraphy said. Let's see if I can add some details based on personal experience.
I've noticed that anything with less than five seeders is automatically bonus. Beyond that, if the ratio of seeders to leechers is low enough (either that or the difference between seeders and leechers is small enough), the torrent will be marked as bonus.
To get a bonus point on a torrent, it must stay a bonus torrent for a full hour. As you can imagine, a lot can happen in an hour. A seeder might hop on, or a leecher might complete the torrent. Either case could result in a violation of the seeders < 5 criterion and eliminate the bonus status.
Anyway, don't rely heavily on bonus torrents. They should be merely what they are - bonus. To get 10GB of upload credit, you have to seed for at least 160 hours. That's approximately one week straight, 24 hours per day, getting ten bonus points per hour. In that time you should have been able to seed far more than 10GB if you pick the right torrents.
