Clamp has been doing downers?

I am glad I can only imagine the wrong things with what we have so far. So hopefully it won't be as depressing as the image and slug suggest. Gothic depression. Had enough of that in the 80s-90s. Hopefully it will be a bit more lively.
Timing is everything in comedy!

It's SHAFT, I don't need any other reason to watch this.

My bad about the thread I made. Was assuming it'd just be on the first 3 pages. This is what happens if you challenge yourself not to use the search function lol.

Anyway, I wonder who's got dibs on the infamous head tilt.

The description has got me interested but I need to know more.

 Is this basically about a girl who has no interest in her own life so instead becomes a voyeur and the show just follows other people around in a slice of life fashion with a twist? Or is there an actual focus on this girl coming out of her shell and the challenges she will face as she tries to become a part of society?

I think 'weird' is not enough to describe this show, but given that it's made by SHAFT, I can't say I'm surprised, either.

I assume that almost the whole episode was Sasami's imagination, because there's no way in hell that everything happened for real (like the world being covered in chocolate and those three girls having special powers).

Annoying censors aside, I'm impressed.

To be fair, it's only in a few short scenes, and SHAFT later lampshades it during the end credits, so the show is still quite watchable, but it's there nonetheless.

And from what I heard, what went on in this episode actually did happen. It seems all the characters have some sort of power that they can exploit when needed (though in the brother's case, it's not always consciously).

The censoring with the @ is from SHAFT, obvious reasons, so it'll be on the BD as well, the dressing scene is done by tv station.

EDIT: About the show.

I like it. But a bit weird her brother has "no face".

* Grimpak watches ep1
* Grimpak goes "DUBBYA TEE EFF MATE?"
* Grimpak sees SHAFT
* Grimpak goes "ah, SHAFT. now I see."

pretty much my reaction to this.

I hope it will actually be a satire about harem shows and not just a show that acknowledge the stupidity of most harem anime while contributing to the genre

This was a pleasingly strange show. Hopefully it'll manage to stay as weird and interesting as this first episode was.

why not both?

I said "I hope A and not A+B". You ask "why not A+B?" .Can't be both.
Think of A+B as being The Expendables 2 if you've seen it.They tried to make a action movie that makes fun of the action genre and it's cliches but the end result was just cliche after cliche with the promise of making fun of them in the near future.Maybe in Expendables 3.

In this anime the creators either continue the no-personality male protagonist cliche that every viewer could identify with but none of us actually do or they could give a brain to the female characters.
I'm sick to the bone of the former.It's why I seldom watch unfinished shows.

I'm always excited about anime with a female lead that are not school/highschool focused.They are too rare and valuable to be missed.

Also,can someone explain to me what SHAFT actually does on this project? From what I understand they only animate the characters and the story that someone else created.Everyone saying "SHAFT this and SHAFT that" like they have created this story,these characters.
