New connection - want to help seeding heavily, but unable
Tolle:
I've tried to look around the forum and wiki, and I can't seem to find a solution to my problem - and maybe there isn't one.
I want to use this!!!I've recently acquired a connection which is actually worth using for seeding (my old one had ~1mb/s down | ~90kb/s up - it was hard keeping a +0.5 ratio). Wanting to share the anime/manga we've all come to love, I thought I could just leave the torrents alone and they would seed as much as possible, but unfortunately, it seems I can't get any of my torrents to seed very much, if at all.
Maybe we've got so many dedicated seeders, that all Baka-Torrents are as healthy as can be, or maybe I'm doing something wrong.
I'm not really sure what my preferences should be, but this is how they are set now:
___________________ ___________________ ___________________ _____
Port: Open
UPnP, NET-PMP and firewall exception: all enabled.
Bandwidth allocation is set to unlimited.
Applying rate limit to uTP connection.
Global maximum number of connections: 1000
Maximum number of connected peers per torrent: 200
Number of upload slots per torrent: 20
DHT, Local Peer Discovery, uTP, UDP tracker support, Peer Exchange: all enabled.
Protocol Encryption enabled on Outgoing.
No transfer cap.
Maximum of 25 active torrents.

Sorry, I know it's a lot of info, but I thought I might as well add it, in case any of you would ask.
I tried downloading different torrents with fair amount of leechers (30+), but I'm never allowed to seed much.
Does anybody know what I can do to seed more?
Thanks for your time and help,
Tolle
Al_Sleeper:
Which torrent client are you using? The latest versions of uTorrent tend to have rather poor seeding performance.
buchno:
May be off topic, but UPnP is a security risk.

I'm using uTorrent version 3.2.1 build 28086.
But it seems like I can upload fair enough on other torrents, but for some reason, all the Baka torrents aren't seeding very much :/
Bob2004:
I highly doubt the client being used is the problem, with a connection like that...
"Danish Network For Research" - is that some kind of academic network? Could it be that P2P traffic is heavily restricted or blocked, hence the poor performance?
BakaBT's torrents are very well seeded, so if you only have a few running, you won't be seeding much at all. But if you have 25 seeding at once, you should be able to get good speeds at least some of the time, so I guess that's probably not the problem.
