Since ancient times, humanity has been in conflict against an otherworldly enemy called "Neuroi". At the forefront of this war are teenage girls who can use magic, called "Witches", whose powers are enhanced via the use of equipment called "Striker Units".

The year is now 1945, and the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, commonly known as the Strike Witches, have just successfully defended Gallia and Romagna from Neuroi depredations. With their immediate duty complete, the 501st is disbanded, and its member witches return to their respective countries.

One of these witches is Miyafuji Yoshika who had lost her magic powers in the battle for Romagna. Still determined to do what she can to help others, she returns to her homeland of Fusou and studies medicine.

During this time, she is visited by Fusou Naval Cadet Hattori Shizuka who offers Yoshika the opportunity to study in Europe. Yoshika readily agrees and, together with Shizuka, departs for Europe from Yokosuka.

However, unknown to her, the Neuroi are once again on the move...

Movie was good, I was well entertained. It's more or less a very long additional episode xD

Surprised not to see a thread for it (or I'm blind)

What else? Strike Witches 3 incoming I guess. They pretty much made the setting for a possible additional series.

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

Or a movie, but a series would be more fun ^^ More story.

They really should show more of the background of Yoshika's father...

Anyway, this movie was fun, but was way too short.

But it was a good movie otherwise.

Then why do you watch anime? No, JK. Havent watched it yet (tho I certainly plan to) but it does get annoying when they force it overboard with the ecchi factor. I dont mind the no pants or a cute butt now and then, but sometimes I feel like its pandering to 12 year old, which it prolly is, when they just close up on one of the girls cooch while shes flying for no apparent reason. but still.

Good thing I actually enjoy the show regardless.

I watch it for the camel toe crotch shots. When you can't tell that a woman is aroused through her panties, what's the point?

Woah, so Coalgirls released the movie?!

Would it be a safe bet to download all the strike witches from Coalgirls?

Thanks <3

I was thinking of going Coalgirls for consistencies sake.

Pick up the first season in 720 (which is the only one they have) then the second and movie in 1080.

Correct me if theres something better for all 3. :)

Great to see the Major again, and as you can see that I'm a big fan.

Subtitle wise there's no difference between Underwater's and Tenshi's (Tenshi used Underwater's script), but I read Tenshi messed up the font size and removed some signs.
I'll leave the quality difference aside.

As for the movie, I enjoyed it. Looking forward to the continuation.
