Well American people sure are slow at buying. It sold out in less than 30 minutes in the UK. I woke up at 8:58, checked the page, and it was already sold out by then.

so after 2 weeks since the official release, I finally placed my order through the play store. Only catch: ships in 2-3 weeks :(
