!
And I'm not saying that to be with the 'against apple' crowd, I really believe it's a cancer in digital form.
I mean, would you use a video player for anime that only let you use that specific player, DRM-locked all your episodes, and only let you watch them on a TV that was made by the same manufacturer?

it depends on how delicious the koolaid is

Give foobar2000 a try, I am sure you will shift to it. The sheer number of customization option(not just looks, even playback options like equalizers and extra cool stuff.), lightning quick response, and no-crash feature is just amazing.

usually you end up similar to:
playlist1 = monday
playlist2 = tuesday
playlist3 = wednesday
etc.
and you can't do that with less than 10K library, that is if your playlist is at least 500songs large.
edit: on a note though, about 60% of the songs i have in stock were the kind of "tried it, didn't like it" but still remains on my harddrive.

Haha, you are just like me in that aspect then, kita. Though I got smaller playlist's too.

Yeah, Foobar2000 is the way to go. Just find a free version of the LAME codec and you can manage / rip your music pretty easily. The only thing I don't like about Foobar is the equalizer... anything other than "disabled" messes my music up for some reason.

There're equalizers that don't mess up sound?
there's no "non-free" LAME. it's open source. I prefer Nero AAC though.
