i agree that this ep was kinda slow but i still enjoyed it.  one thing i dont get, why is everyone so concerned that the anime will cover ALL the manga so far? i mean, can they not just tell part of the story? if the anime stops and theres more manga story after that...read the manga. seems pretty simple to me. yeah i guess it will suck if they end up taking so much time on so little manga then rush to "catch up" so lets hope they dont do that. but if they just decide to do a chunk of the manga, whats the big deal?

I just hate it when an anime only covers part of its manga. It's like the anime was a promotion for the manga. Such anime always turn out to be unsatisfactory and end at a strange point in the story. Examples are Highschool of the Dead, Gantz, Claymore, Berserk, etc.

I believe it's just your impatience talking. Were the series completed I'm sure you'd enjoy them building up the tension and wouldn't want it to end.

Bad pacing is always an issue, whether or not the show is complete. The only reason I haven't dropped the show after 4 very poorly paced episodes is that I read the manga and I know the story is really good.

ALL Anime adaptations are promotion for the original source (manga, LN, VN, etc.), SnK is no exception. So, it would make more sense to quit halfway and let the manga do the rest of the story-telling than follow it all the way through. Any unsatisfactory ending should entice people into reading the manga. And if either the anime or the manga (or both) prove to be a hit, they can always make more anime.

Bah. The fact that your opinion is shared by the majority of people is the very reason I find 90% of anime disappointing.

They both already are. SnK has been one of the highest selling manga for more than a year now. The anime is very popular in Japan too.

I'm still amazed at how splendid the art of eyes is in both manga and anime.
Whenever they show Eren's eyes I just become motivated to do something of use.. orz

To be fair, the manga is fairly dialogue-heavy itself. Sure, the anime is a bit slow in its pacing, but they're getting it right. They're not screwing it up like they did with Gantz. All is well, for now.

If the show does only part of the manga and finishes I won't read the manga, I not really into manga I'd prefer One shots for manga.
