In a perfect all anime adaptations would get a treatment such as Fullmetal Alchemist and Hunter x Hunter. The second best treatment is when an anime only covers a certain amount of volumes due to episode restriction. At least that's my opinion.

Then there's cases of too long series->fillers and original endings.

They're not stearing towards on original ending are they? I haven't seen the last two episodes.

If the show does only part of the manga and finishes I won't read the manga, I not really into manga I'd prefer One shots for manga.

I doubt they'll put in an original ending, if that's what you're saying. With the manga topping the charts every week and the huge buzz this show creates, expect them to cut it off somewhere and season 2 to be confirmed some time after it finishes airing, even more so if the anime sells well, too.

At this point it's pretty much stayed perfectly true to the manga besides for a couple of unimportant scenes.

As of now (ep 11) it doesn't seem to be heading towards an original ending.

That would be great news. I could imagine them waiting a few years before airing the second season due to the monthly chapters.

If only the humans didn't use walls to protect themselves and had a circle of water around their territory. Well, then again, we'd have some special titan which would be able to traverse water bodies...

I Think walls are way more affective and defensive than having circles of water.

Nah, cliffs and mesas are the ultimate defence. Something like Grand Mesa in Colorado could be converted into a damned good fortification.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

Well a colossal titan can break a wall but still can't cross a huge body of water, right?

Yeah, a cliff >60m which, even if the colossal titan attacked, would be free from all other titans....

Hope they make it >13 episodes... Although manga comes out too slowly. And I love the art in the anime. Manga started long ago so art didn't improve there...

...Unless they can swim, which I would assume those armored Titans can.

The anime will have 25 episodes, hence a recap at episode 14.

Only 1 armored so far right? But it can swim? Where was it shown?

:| Normal animes with 25 episodes don't have recaps. I wonder why they wasted an episode here. At least use 2 chapters to make an episode in these slow times to make up for it...

Now that they know everything is in the basement, they should just go to Wall Maria and attract all the titans somewhere. While they're distracted, they should check the basement since it probably has vital info which can save mankind... These people....

My fav quote in the anime so far:
I am strong!
Stronger than you guys.
Very strong.
Therefore, I can defeat those Titans!
Even on my own.

Lol since when does that happen?

I wonder what would have happened if Eren decided on his first option in episode 10...

Didn't they say that Titans lived years without eating humans(which is the only thing they feed on) I assume they can swim and Isn't that colossal Titan tall enough to not drown in the water?, He can easily walk through it, Armored Titans are the best!

Lol since when does that happen?

Since the episode with collosal titan tearing down the wall, and disappearing in a flash ;)

BTW. About "water circles" - titans can be killed only by slicing their nape. They don't have to eat, they don't have to breathe (because they won't die anyway) - they would just slowly walk forward on the foss' bottom.

You have a point there.

Since the episode with collosal titan tearing down the wall, and disappearing in a flash ;)
The flash looked to me like Eren's titan shift from episode 9. May very well be another shifter.... I mean there wasn't any other titan teleportation so far.

Not even to mention that colossal titan was clearly intelligent as noted by Eren when he wend for the cannons before destroying the gate. So... who do you think operates it? Dibs on Erens father, since he always is "somewhere other than here" whenever attack is ongoing. Also that whole basement business... I bet Eren will discover some siblings there because his father is a titan Josef Fritzl or something   :P

Pure speculation on my part of course, but at this point I am pretty sure that colossal and armored titans are shifters with a "drone army" of normal titans. They also didn't eat humans.

I really don't think he is bad at all. If only he was able to return and show what's in the basement, but then we wouldn't have any suspense, huh? His father has a role in the colossal and armored titans probably though. Since his injection was the one which turned him into a titan shifter, those 2 titans must have had similar injections somehow.

My blind guess, if Mangaka takes the typical way out in these situations, is: Greesha and someone worked together in some research. Titan shifters made by accident. His dad goes "NO What have I done?!" and plans to become a doctor to help people now. The other person makes these titan shifters.
