Last episode of SnK will let us know, or the producers will do. With how sales are going, S2 is inevitable.

As for S2 I would say they will make it, but I think it will be at least a year or two before we see it IMO. I don't really mind, as I rather wait than see a anime filled with fillers.

They could do a 13 episode right now to catch up with the manga

but if the same amount of episodes, I believe Season 2 will probably air at Winter 2015 the earliest due to the manga series being released monthly instead of weekly
