I've always postulated that successive seasons are rated better on average, because the only people who'd continue to watch the series are those who've rated the previous entries in the franchise highly.

Of course there are exceptions to this theory of mine that go both ways, but I think it's still sound.

Probably weighted score and median score.

Weighted scores only take people who've seen more than X amount of eps afaik, whereas the median score includes everyone who's ever rated the show, regardless of how many eps they've seen.

It varies from site to site.

Average is just the average of the votes.
Rating is the same, but weighted in some sophisticated way with the total votes on anidb for all shows, as people tend to vote with an average higher than 5/10.

Whoa. Just from the bit I've been reading, has this series totally changed? Like it was really kinda 'happy-go-lucky' overall(not always, but mostly) but from the bit I've read, it seems like it's COMPLETELY changed?

I've been hearing rave reviews as well. Is it that good? The first two seasons were pretty good, but nothing I'd classify as amazing or anything.

Yup, things have escalated but then again you don't feel as if it's wrong. It's like we had it coming for a long time now. The hints were there in every season and with every case.

Sweet. I always noticed things here and there, but when it goes on two seasons without ever touching on them, you're just like, meh, ok.

I really want to watch it, but I know it'll just be like everything else I watch while it's still airing; "I HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!"

I'll just wait. But now I'm excited. Before, it was just a show I liked with good animation. Was excited it was getting a third season. Now that I know a couple things(just a few things, really. I'm sure there were sketchy things I missed[as usual]), I'm really excited to see it.

Oh scoreeee. Might just start watching it now then. Didn't know it was that close to being over. By the time I get caught up, I'll either not have to wait at all, or just a couple days for last episode.

Actually waiting for the last/second last is really exciting (even more than marathon) so yeah, you can do that. It might be real fun. 2 more days till Ep. 11 is out (aka second last episode)

AHHHH!! Finally finished watching it!! And damn, what an ending. The anime producers for this show are phenomenal. I don't think I will be reading the manga and just wait for more upcoming anime of this series. And damn, this show is really, really, really under-rated. Even among the best anime's released this season, this really, really does shine. And Keima, you may be a bastard to many, but to me you have just entered the 'Top Male Anime Characters of All Times' (well, he was there before itself, but still saying).

I am so excited and awed by the ending of this that I could write a whole length blog about it (writing is my toughest subject besides language though). Anyway, this was the best end possible for this series. Looking forward to more of 'The World God Only Knows' Till then, 'bye-bye'

I suspect if there is a season 4, it'd probably be in the spring. At that point they should have enough manga to make it.
