Danganronpa: Kibou no Gakuen to Zetsubou no Koukousei

Description: A group of 15 elite high school students are gathered at a very special, high class high school. To graduate from this high school essentially means you’ll succeed in life, but graduating is very difficult. The school is presided over by a bear called Monokuma, and he explains to them that their graduation hinges around committing a murder. The only way to graduate is to kill one of your classmates and get away with it. If the other classmates discover the identity of the killer, the killer is the only one executed. However, if they fail to catch the killer, only the killer graduates and the others are annihilated. Which of the 15 will survive the bloodbath to come?

Now THIS sounds interesting. If I was among them students, everyone would die instantaneously. -turns to SSJ4-

and that character in the middle is somewhat similar to Tatsumi (akame ga kiru!)

Very very interesting concept.
But will they really be able to bring out the suspense and thrill such a plot will demand. The char designs are to a point, unique. But who will the animation be.

This could either be a massive hit or a massive fail I would say. All ears for any new info on this.

Been reading some of the fan translations that have been floating around online. Not bad so far, the voice actors/actresses are also amazing.

The characters are also some of the most unique characters I have ever seen in a VN, and there are so many twists. Oh, so many twists. Can't wait to see this animated.

There's no PC release for this. Did you play the VN on PSP?

Yeah, it's only on the PSP. There is no official translation patch, but I did manage to find a forum in which a person does a let's play while translating every line along the way, so I just followed along with that. The PSP game is floating around online as well, I'm sure you'll be able to find it without much difficulty, and play it as long as you have a PSP.

i think you do, actually. You have to mod it so that it can play modded games. One of my friends did it for me a while back, so I'm not entirely sure how to do it either.

Well all I can say is that I'm not disappointed

I've been hearing most of my friends brag about DR for a few months now. And I kinda loved it. Makes me want to get the VN~

No deaths in the first ep. I r disappoint.

Hopefully they die in amusing ways.

I also hope there's no happy ending where 2 or more people get out alive. It'll be funny if the MC or the idol chick are forced into killing each other

I watched the first ep and to me it resembles 999 which is rather postivie. I hope it lives up to my expectations.
