Too many seeders/no leechers

When I first registered to this site, torrents I wanted had people downloading them so I could always seed them back to a 1:1 ratio. Now, every one of the torrents I want is all seeds, no leechers. I read the Wiki and checked out torrents with lots of leechers but they're all HUGE 10-20-39+ gigs each which would put me over the warning limit. Does anyone have a suggestion of what I can do? Before my accout got pruned I had a good ratio(over 1:1) so I don't want to get in trouble this time but there's just so many seeders and so few leechers it seems inevitable.

The site is meant for long-term archiving over serial watching (where you might delete your stuff after you're done with it.) That means collecting a decent sized base of material to seed. You can just take the hit and build it up over time, or find out where the original source is (assuming it's not here) and get it from them so you can reseed it without taking the ratio hit here.

Assuming you didn't dump all the stuff you presumably got before your account was pruned, you could reseed that stuff to start. If not, just pace yourself. Don't worry about hitting 1:1 with every torrent, the only thing that matters is your overall ratio.

I guess I'm just scared because I don't want to sit there with next to nothing uploaded while I constantly download new torrents. Unfortunately I did clean my hard drive where I stored all my anime so I no longer have that material to seed. I really screwed myself there I admit. As long as I don't get slapped with a warning right off the bat.

I think there's some leeway with new accounts.

But if you're really worried seriously just look up where the stuff you like comes from and get it from there first before here. Often just takes looking up the group name and finding where they seed it from.

You don't have to get everything from outside, but it helps offset the ratio loss, and the more stuff you have to seed, the less you have to worry about any one torrent ruining your ratio.

And remember to keep your stuff. Once you start deleting things it becomes a lot harder to catch back up. You don't really maintain ratio on a per torrent basis, but in aggregate.

Also, if that's an option, try to get the stuff in 1080p, because all 1080p torrents are freeleech (other freeleech torrents are Artbooks, Music Videos, and torrents smaller than 100 MB). That way you can download all you want without having to go through the hassle of looking for the original source, and build a solid base for downloading everything that isn't available as freeleech
