English Dub Companies

Here I do have to agree with Zalis... do you pay for anything? If not, then it's not the time to complain... if you do pay, get your friends onboard.

Also with respect to the quality: I seriously dislike anime dubs for the simple reason of preferring the Japanese language and voice artists, but that has nothing to do with the quality of translation/editing. It's just the way it's being presented. There's no reason the script of a dub should be worse than that of a subtitle.

End of the line: if you want things to happen, start paying up in some way  :P

I won't say "fixed," but that's the way I see it.

I've seen many anime done well in other languages. An obvious example is Afro Samurai, but also the Swedish dub of Mumin, which in my opinion fits the characters even better than the original Japanese audio.

...but you are correct in that there are many who will simply refuse anything which isn't Japanese in anime...

I purchase anime when i have the money....i just prefer eng dub sometimes cause its a break from reading the subtitles thats all.
Anime that im referring to are prince of tennis and hikaru no go i had like 4 seasons of prince of tennis then last volume of hikaru no go and after that i saw no new dvds being released.

Tiffanys:
They're a business. If something isn't profitable they won't continue to pursue it. Losing money isn't a good business model. It's the same reason TV shows some people like such as Firefly (which I hated btw), The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Dark Angel, etc... end up getting canceled, regardless of how outraged it makes their fans. They're a business first, plain and simple.

But for real, they should have continued Dark Angel.

Hikaru no Go was completely dubbed, just not fully released on DVD (same with Monster).  If you're in the right region, check hulu and Viz's site, they should have all the eps there. And on the Monster torrent, CornBreadMan said he's working on a Hikaru no Go dual-audio version, presumably by remuxing the English audio for 47-75 with R2J DVD raws or new encodes.
