This show nearly slipped past my radar, but I'm glad I decided to pick it up, because it has the most impressive first episode I've seen in a long time, if ever. Instead of this starting as a generic romantic comedy, it starts out more as a drama.
You do need a bit of suspension of belief, though, because one wonders why no one bothered to ask Haruka why she knew what they were thinking, or simply told her to keep her mouth shut. Maybe it's because she pretty much hung everyone's dirty laundry out to dry, but I still found it quite sad that everyone just started ignoring her, or that her parents even left her with her grandfather.
When the kitten was taken to a shelter, I thought she'd contemplate suicide. I think a lot of people would consider that at a time like this. Fortunately, she found one guy who accepted her. I like how he lured her out of her shell by thinking perverted thoughts about her.
I do think this won't be a straight-out comedy from here on. The OP suggests her mother will come back into her life, and I think our male lead will have something to say about that (if not Haruka herself).
