"According to the official website, Shinkai Makoto's new anime movie "Kotonoha no Niwa" was announced to be premiered within the first half of the year 2013. Shinkai said it will be his first 恋 (love) story. He said, "There had not been the concept of 恋愛 (romance) before the modern period in the language of Japanese. 恋 (love) had been written as 孤悲 (lone sorrow) since 8th century. Although the story of this movie takes place in current Japan, I'd like to describe such an ancient emotion of lone sorrow."

I am sold out on the art level of garden, trains and rain (well, of course, it has to perfect, the whole anime is set at that time). I would have liked the character's art to be as close to real humans as well, seeing they went all out with the background (seriously, how the fuck did you manage the train station animation, that is just wonderful).

Will be looking forward to it.

Yay! It's good to see that Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo was just a blip, and he's back to his usual art style again. I have mixed opinions about the writing in his films, but there's no denying that in terms of art, 5cm per Second and The Place Promised in Our Early Days are without peer. It looks like this film is going to join them.

Looks like the acting's going to be pretty good, too. They got some good talent for the two main parts.

Uh ... what the fuck is this? The movie is great in every area, except this ... this ... story. I don't understand what happened in the very end. I guess there is no conclusion ... I want to say this is an awesome movie, but then again I don't know if it really is. I have vexed feelings about this. Well ..... -gets back to Muv Luv-
