so, here's the problem...i've disassemble my laptop to clean the inner section...accidenta lly, i broke my laptop exhaust fan...i already sent it to repair...but with more unhappy news...

my laptop is still new in market so there's no spare part for it...so my question is, is there any acer laptop that have similar size/fan? maybe 4741?

2nd, is it normal for lptp to shutdown suddenly, like there is someone whos playing with your switch...it will turn off even the battery is inplace...my avrg temp is 45~55 and fyi, there are no exhaust fan (died)...just blow the exhaust using small fan...

hope someone can answer asap about my questions...and sorry if writing is not good...
its 4am atm and am very sleepy...

It's normal for it to shut down automatically when it overheats.
Since your fan is busted, probably the temperature went over the top after a while and the safety kicked in.

Just wait a couple months and parts will start showing up on eBay.

If your laptop is so new, why'd you clean it? You should only have to clean a laptop at most once every six months, and by your sixth month you should already be seeing replacement parts on the market.

You disassembled the laptop, right? Look up the part number that should be printed on the fan somewhere.

Your other option is to just search your laptop model along with "fan." Just make sure there aren't multiple laptop builds from your manufacturer with the same model name.

so next time try to "gently" dismantle it , most people know that ACER does things with "cheap" in mind :P.

can you tell me which part is "cheap"? i only noticed the monitor's frame...and recently the FAN...
this could help to be more careful as i strive to become an overuse-laptop user...*pffft...

generally everything? it uses some cheapo ram kit, most of the laptop's case is made of plastic, flimsy keyboard, etc.

e.g. ACER makes stuffs with only thinking of how to cut costs.

Some recent articles on Anandtech are pointing out how Acer's designs have improved greatly since the shit they were putting into the market two years ago, and I think I have to agree. They aren't of incredibly great quality or anything, but they are definitely improving.

weeell, they may have started including "it should be at least" in their book of vocabulary

as an overall they did have some improvement, specially on their product's appearances. although when you inspect the details they still have that iffy habit of cutting corners *cough*still no-name rams and thin plastic case*cough*.

edit:(off-topic) speaking of no-name/local brands that usually have a bad reputation about quality, theres one here on my area that caught my eye.
the thing that made me interested now is because they started doing things forward while even pushing SRP down as much as possible, result?
(click to show/hide)
so yes, bad reputation companies can improve, drastic while at it. and also applicable to good reputation companies going downhill as well *cough*seagate*cough*.
