I don't have a one. I'm using a Logitech G11 right now. If I got a new one I'd probably get it though, barring finding a mechanical that has similar macro button placement.

I also have the SteelSeries WoW Cataclysm mouse, which I do not recommend by the way. The button placement on it is great, which is why I got it over a Naga (or the Logitech version of the Naga which exists now that didn't then), but the macro software is just utter shit. You can't do pretty much anything except their pre-programmed commands almost exclusively tailored to WoW which amazingly happen to work in some other games, but not in others. But yeah, I'd never ever get another SteelSeries mouse.

Just wondering about you macro people, what games do you usually play to make them feel like an important feature?

I'd do macro+mechanical. :P

What games, hmm... Well, the reason I bought it was because of Age of Conan which required like insane combinations all the time. Though, I imagine it's useful similarly in other games like that. Albeit, I'd say the Anansi would be useful... ones with them to the left, not so much as they aren't easily reachable. One row directly next to the shift/ctrl keys might be usable, I dunno. But I definitely think the Anansi placement would be more practical in gaming situations.

Vindictus it was useful on too (for Fiona), although... I ended up assigning some random key to my mouse instead and making an autohotkey script for that key since my keyboard macro keys are too far away and my mouse macro software sucks ass.

Show me another keyboard that has the same or similar macro button placement as the Anansi then.

I have seen several, but none with a placement that would satisfy you. Also some of those keyboards... random "gamer" companies jumping on mechanical keyboards making this weird mix of quality switches packed in shitty plastic.

using macros and such on the reg will usually be more of the RPG players and stuff like that

PC gamers that play fps often have little to no need for macros and use simple scripts in their stead when permitted.

I played wow for a while but was never big into macros as im a clicker.

I played fps hardcore competitively and never had any problems being in competition with some of the best players in the world without using a mechanical keyboard. NKRO again usually not the biggest deal as you get 6 keys with a usb based kb if memory serves.

I still recommend avoiding all razer products like the plague everything i have ever purchased from that company has been utter garbage. I have never been huge on macroing so i have always been picky on my keyboard layout for where the buttons are how comfortable i can use my retarded ass key layout i like to use

which for fps involved having most of the keys from the spacebar to the right bound to something cuz i need me some space around my movement keys thanks to large hands.

Razer's mice have been good enough for me but I'd recommend strongly against the blackwidow. I've never heard anything good about it and it does not even have a real NKRO like other mechanical keyboards. Only the WASD area works without the ghosting effect.

mgz, the only reason would take anything you're saying to heart, is because 3 other people said the same thing first, and without spewing profanity every four words.  Also, the mere tone for which you speak of an entire group, which consists of many different areas and types of people, discredits any reliability for your words and simply makes you sound like a troll.  So sorry, much offense was intended, but I consider making such types of people feel stupid a form of stress release
As for everything else, I get that my Electra's aren't the greatest audio device out there.  As for keyboards, I have a Razer Lycosa that has made me happy for quite a while (good two years). If you're insistant on macro keys, I would go for the Blackwidow or Deathstalker, if you're mgz, I would check out the Logitech G13, which is the G15 without the expensive LCD.
