Just the cats or felines in general?

I have never been in direct contact with a feline other than a cat (I mind direct like in without a wall between us) but I don't think I would feel comfortable siting right next to a lion no. The word "comfortably" wasn't there randomly. I can appreciate petting a dog for a while but I always feel a bit awkward with them.

Dogs too threatening?
Nikkoru:
Dogs kind of have excess energy which can be off-putting and demanding. Cats are just chill so long as you feed them at the right time and give them some lap time here or there.
JoonasTo:
Depends on the dog and the cat. Breeds differ but even bigger differences between personalities.

Nah it's more like I don't really know how I'm supposed to act with them. I have had cats for most of my life (unfortunately not today because they aren't allowed on campus :( ) so I know exactly how to take them. I'm familiar with all of their body language. They are completely predictable to me. Basically, I know exactly what to expect from them. Dogs on another hand, they are weird and their skull has a funny shape and I'm not sure where exactly I'm supposed to scratch them and they are also noisy and when I want them to leave me alone because I'm busy I have to lock them on another room because if I just do "PTCHHH!!!" they don't run away.
