Unable to connect to peers and seeders on only BakaBT torrents, first time user

Hate to hijack this Post, but.....
I am having the same problem. I am a fairly advanced user, I am running utorrent on linux headless (ubuntu 12.04/Utorrent 3.0) - torrents from other sites download fine. Bakabt.me torrents no good. I have checked everything, even DNS. Nothing seems wrong. I have tried other torrents from Bakabt - none of them work.

I see no errors in the log files.

Any Ideas?

as far as i'm aware there is only an alpha version of µTorrent out for linux - which would not be whitelisted.
if you take a more focused look on the tracker status message you'll find something along the line of "Failure: use of this client is not allowed on our tracker, please see http://bakabt.me/whitelist.php".

thus your issue is completely unrelated to OPs issue.

Try qBittorrent. It's kinda like Ubuntu's version of uTorrent. Otherwise, there are a few others to choose from.

Personally I use KTorrent. I seem to be one of maybe five people on the site that do.
