Evangelion 3.0 Sakura Suzuhara(spoilers?)

Hi Guys. Just watched the cam for Evangelion 3.0 and I have a question. (click to show/hide)Toji's sister (sakura), that's the resurrected Yui Ikari right? It made no sense as Shinji was escaping for Toji's sister to tell him "I really want you to forgive me" in the context of the entire franchise. Then it dawned on me that at the end of Evangelion 2.0 you had two Yui's inside of Eva unit 01. Remember that Rei is a clone of Yui; all the while in an ascended state of evolution and with the door to the room of Gauf wide open. I also don't recall ever seeing toji's sister in any series. Supposedly she was released from the hospital in the original series but that was never actually shown. She could be anything or nothing at all.

So does this mean that Gendo's entire plan was to create an impact event to open the room of Gauf for the mere purpose of swapping a clone of Yui Ikari (Rei) for the soul of the real Yui Ikari located inside the core of Unit 01? At first Nerv and Seele had the same goal, human instrumentality, however I think Yui being taken was not expected and this is where Gendo and Fuyutsuki for that matter, divert from seele's original goal. Nerv's actual goal becomes the salvation of Yui Ikari. I think Rei's soul is now inside of unit 01 and Toji's sister is Yui. That's why no one wants him to pilot an eva, especially unit 01, ever again. Also why Kaworu got so confused as to why both lances were the same. Also explaining why everyone appears to hate shinji and the fact that everyone at nerv created Willie to essentially wage war on Gendo Ikari. The entire plot concept of pilots that don't age is to cover the fact that Toji's sister is only 14 years old because she's the resurrected Yui who was born on the day of 3rd impact. Also why everyone tells Shinji that Rei is dead but never explains shit to him. They fear he can't handle the truth. That he and his dad both forsake all of humanity to save their respective girlfriends; which just happened to be the same person. :P

Then again; it really could be Toji's sister. What does everyone think about it? Sakura being Yui?

You're definitely over-thinking it. Toji's sister being released from the hospital is actually shown in the Rebuild series (somewhere in the middle of 2.0 if I recall). No contrived theories necessary here.
