Seeding Problem - Please Help
« on: January 19, 2013, 03:17:47 PM »
Hello dear forum members,

I am in really need of your help. i am not very familiar with seeding/leeching etc.

i am using a macbook pro. and when i download a torrent, it goes to my download file.
When i drag the downloaded anime to my anime movie, it stops seeding. it shows a red icon.
I just figured out it was not seeding, and it was for days red. please help me, because my ratio is low.

The easiest solution: use Copy instead of Move.

Or move it by telling the torrent client to use a different location

Change your client settings to choose the location every time that way you can download them to the drive you're storing them on instead of moving them after they finish. You cannot move a torrent's contents and still seed it. The location you set in the client is the location the program looks for the content to seed out. If you move it, you need to let the program know you moved it so it's a lot easier to just put it in the destination originally instead.

Here's how to re-seed a torrent.

Here are some easy instructions...

1. Remove the torrent from your client.
2. Add the torrent to your client again disabling starting the download automatically, this time setting the location to the new location it is in. Make sure you start it as paused or stopped. There should be a setting for this - if you don't it'll start overwriting your already completed files.
3. Now do a force re-check.
