That requires the user to have knowledge of how to construct a work out.

That's a bit much to ask on an Anime forum, isn't it? We're all nerds here.

I thought "nerds" preferred to know what they're doing.
The best way to create a workout routine is to spend some time on a website like bodybuilding.com and learn some basic anatomy and bodybuilding basics. It takes a little time, but it's going to yield better results than relying on a website like this. Just like - nerd analogy - knowing a little about video players is going to make it easier for you to tweak them for the best quality and performance on your computer than relying on presets.
Since we have access to all this information, why not take advantage of it?

My point is that you're right, knowing things is a good idea, but reading things and putting them into practice are totally different things.

You have no idea how many people I know that read things online and then try to put them to practice in the gym and end up hurting themselves. But I'm sure this means nothing. Brb while I consult my H-Kin degree.

Which is why you should not be an idiot and get properly informed before trying anything.
In this case, I don't see how actually learning a little about bodybuilding and which exercises work which muscles is any more dangerous than doing what a workout generator tells you to do.

Assuming intelligence is something I try to avoid. Humanity isn't smart, we are a silly species at the best of times.

Regardless, I agree most generators are stupid, but it's not like it's anyone better then mindlessly picking exercises that "focus" certain areas. I know kids that spend weeks planning their workout schedule and it ends up being atrocious. There's also the whole thing about the desired end game, and how working out doesn't necessarily correlate well with what one is aiming for, and it's a lot more...lifestyle orientated.

Still, I put all my info in, I'm curious to see what it spits out.
