Small Question about seeding.
(1/1)
Shadowdiva:
This is a small question and i didn't feel like making my own topic, but i didn't want risk bumping a solved question.
I just wanted to know if i can be banned for seeding from my local library when i downloaded a file at home?
There's something about it on the FAQ(which i read!) but im not sure if it's banning for seeding a torrent from 2 computers at the same time
Or
just seeding the same torrent from a different IP.(using the same laptop i downloaded the torrent but using the library's internet)
I was seeding Princess 69 And Seifuku Shoujo(don't judge me) but it wasn't uploading.
Thx for reply. And sorry if it's been asked.
Bozobub:
You will only have an issue for transferring a torrent (that was downloaded with a private key; public key torrents are different) at the SAME TIME as another location; this implies a shared private key. It not a problem at all if you download from one location, move it to another location and/or IP, and upload it from there. For that matter, you can even start a torrent at the library, take the partially-completed torrent home, and finish it there, as long as it isn't still being downloaded at the library.
You were most likely not seeing seed activity merely because nearly all of the torrents on BakaBT are heavily overseeded.
Freedom Kira:
In other words, the only situation that will cause a problem is if you are running the same torrent from two locations at once.
IP addresses don't matter. Most people have a dynamic IP that changes around once or twice a year.
Shadowdiva:
Okay thanks guys. Because i really like the whole "sharing" thing bakabt has going on and i didn't want to be a moocher and ultimately get banned.
All right, time for angel blade! Again, don't judge. No GF.
