Unless you're encoding it's not like you'll have to do anything on your end. If sub groups opt to release stuff in the more efficient format would you go outta your way to avoid them?
In any case, no anime production company is going to increase the resolution of their source material if fan groups adopt h.265 anyway. You'll still be free to get 720p stuff for awhile now, I'm sure.

well... I'm needtogetthebestqui lity freak so i'll reDL every anime title i have if they re-release it in the new format... :/

I do that when the need to re-watch arises.
If there's something better than what I've got, then I'll get it again.
megido-rev.M:
I've only maybe done that once in 5 years.

I take so long to get around to stuff I often end up replacing the HDTV versions with BD releases.

i usually regrab good animes to their A counterparts, Dual-Audio if possible too, not that i prefer DA but a family viewing is much more enjoyable when you are'nt spending 80% of the time reading the subs(even if the dubs is kinda bad).
i had a few of my younger siblings and cousins enjoy some anime too, like arietty and howl's, and wasn't possible with subs since they can't read that fast yet.
i also usually regrab the anime when theres a new one thats quite smaller but nearly the same quality, on some really rare occasions its even both smaller and better in quality. its to drop the total size on my HDD so i can fit more.

speaking of highest quality, i think we should have an S rank that takes the current highest quality.
