Uploading problem !
« on: February 16, 2013, 07:43:50 PM »
Greetings people,

I have an issue with uploading torrents I downloaded. When I download something, I rename the folder and move the folder to a different location, to put it with other anime. Problem is, when I do that, I can't seed anymore obviously since the downloaded stuff is not in place, but even if I point the torrent client to the new place, it still won't seed because it simply doesn't recognize the files since the folder name is different. Is there any workaround to this because i haven't modified any files?
I usually seed until I finish watching series, for example 3 days, but after that, when i finish, I move the folder and rename it. Problem is I wont be able to keep up my dl/ul above 1 like that if I don't fix this issue.

Help pl0x, regards
kwoth

You can use 'Relocate' command in uTorrent for each individual file in the torrent, but it is rather time-consuming.

Don't rename the folder even if you move it, or wait longer before you move.
Three days feels like on the short side; I have some torrents up here for over four years  :P
Sometimes there are simply no shortcuts.

Yea man that was a good idea, I would do that but I figured out a way.

1. I deleted a relocated (dead) torrent file from the uTorrent client
2. Downloaded the same torrent from bakabt and opened it
3. When prompted in the client where to download, there is also a box to pick a folder name. Just pick the correct folder and change the name to whatever it is NOW. It will check for files in that folder and start seeding ^_^

thanks a lot for replies, I appreciate it
