Not getting any leechers when I seed, even though there are many?

Boelens:
Hey there,
I use Vuze for my torrents, and when I seed it only works sometimes, but not fast, and my upload speed should be able to handle more. An issue I am having however is, when I have it seed it just does nothing. There are leechers but it isn't uploaidng anything. Are there any settings I need to configure for this? I'd really like for my ratio to be good but in this way it's very hard.

Al_Sleeper:
a. Some leechers are actually partial seeders.
b. It is difficult to compete with seedboxes.

Bozobub:
Seed lots of torrents.

Out of 179 torrents I currently have set to "Force Start" (basically, "seed forever") on BakaBT, generally 18-20 are actually seeding at any given time.  I have no trouble maxing any fraction of my upload bandwidth bandwidth, usually around 80% of max.

It works, honest.

Woah. Okay then...

Freedom Kira:
You need to look at the seeder-to-leecher ratio, not just the number of leechers. If there are 50 leechers on a torrent that has 2000 seeders, chances are you won't be able to seed much, whereas if there are 5 leechers and 5 seeders, you're likely to seed a lot more.

And yes, lots of torrents. I've got just over 400 torrents seeding.
