reseting torrent client ratio

hi, can anybody advise me whether it s possible to reset client ratio (bittorrent)? my ratio (for some torrents) got messed up by partly downloading again some files, and i just want to reset it

I don't know if it's possible to just edit settings.dat, or if the information is stored in an illegible way.

i ve seen on a previos post (but for utorrent) to delete settings.dat does the trick, but for this client cant find it. and want to confirm the correct way 2 do it, dont want to risk ruinning my account...

The ratio tracked on a tracker site is disconnected from whatever your client may say locally. AFAIK the reporting is on a session level, and not related to your locally stored total ratio on the torrent. And if you're worried, why bother? The local ratio isn't of any value except you knowing what you're doing...

Edit: ConsiderPhlebas is correct, this won't affect your account's statistics in any way.

deleted settings.dat files, but old file ratio still there...???

If you're talking about statistics for individual files, then it may be stored in resume.dat. Removing that file isn't recommended, though.

If it's important enough, you may remove and re-add the affected torrents (naturally without removing the downloaded files).

AFAIK there is no mechanism to only reset the client statistics.
You can do what buchno said, though it means re-adding every torrent.
