1. Download what you want to watch (can be done straight to android with ttorrent).
2. Watch.
3. Delete.
4. Go to step 1.
And yes whining about having to temporarily store small 720p rips is retarded, when you're storing several gig bd rips of at least some shit that you'll never watch again. All you have to do is *gasp* actually watch shit you download and keep track of it so you'll remove it afterwards. I do this every day, and it's really fucking easy. Hell half the time I don't bother to delete since the ripsare so small, or I just download straight to phone. If your point of inquiry was whether any current devices could play them, you have received your answer. Deal with it or wait till they pack an i3 inside your phone.
Also fyi phones are usually like 15–32 gig base, and up to 64 gig sd card expansion. At the most you just have to use 5 percent of a 2tb hdd as an android storage section for what you watch on your phone. Also some bd rips of 1080p are 32 gigs for the series. It's just dumb to waste your entire phone storage on 1–2 series.

you end up with the hard-stuffs not scratching your phone and easier to sort-out stuffs since they got their own isolation. well not to change your tastes and all, its what i think would be better although other people i know just bring their own mini-handbags and throw everything in it.
having a yōjigen-pocket must be really convenient ;D

I do not have it all in one pocket. I have it throughout something like 6 pockets. I've also yet to scratch a phone or damage it in any extensible way.
Anyway, I've no use for a phone that large. Absolutely none. I neither watch video on it, nor do I game on it.
I see the appeal of having you connect it to a TV at friends house or something like that, so do I expect a decent camera on it, I like listening to music and audiobooks on it too, but you don't need a 5 inch phone for either. I'd much rather a 33% smaller screen with a 33% longer operational duration.
Once you get to the latter end of the 4 inch screens, it becomes a hassle to actually operate the keyboard single handedly. I know like 3 people who can both access the notification area, settings area and the whole of the keyboard without getting cramps while operating the phone with a single hand once you get to the 4.7 inch ones. It also looks stupid to hold a brick by your face whenever you need to use a phone as a phone.

Only x86 processors have the software to play 10 bit video effectively. No ARM processor can do that as of yet. No tegra, no snapdragon, no exynos no whatever. Your only option at the moment is to do what xShadow recommended.
